------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Aug 24 06:18:33 -0700 2005 ------- Hi, I know that this issue's been reported and fixed before in openoffice 1.1, but it appears to have unfixed itself in 1.9. Every time I start a new document, I have to change the language from English (USA) to English (UK). I've tried ticking the "Save language" box, but that doesn't seem to have any effect. Sorry if you're always getting pestered over this, but it's something I have rather strong feelings on seeing as we invented the US's language, and over here we are adamant that words like "centre" and "metre" end with "re" and not "er". If there is a way of permanently setting the language to English (UK), can you turn this into a request to explain how to do this more obviously? In fact (sorry, deviating a little), wouldn't it be simpler to actually be able to change the language from the "language" menu on "Tools" rather than have to go into an obscure section of the options menu? Yes, I know that's how they do it in Micro$oft Word, but for once Bill Gates got something right. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
