------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Oct 31 02:00:56 -0800
2005 -------
1. create some headings with style "Heading 1"
2. turn on numbering for this style:
2.1 go to "Tools" -> "Outline Numbering..."
 2.2 select level 1-10
2.3 change it's Number attribute from "None" to "1,2,3.."
2.4 make sure there is some margin between the numbers and the text (there are
at least 2 ways to define such margins...)
3. insert a TOC with "Insert" -> "Indexes and Tables" -> "Indexes and Tables"
4. the TOC looks very ugly, as the text is stuffed in right after the numbering,
despite the explicit margin settings

"Solution": You have to manually add a Tab to *every* outline level, as there is
unfortunately no way to modify the levels all at once, unlike with "Outline
Numbering", where you can select Level "1-10" for this.
This is very annoying as you have to fiddle around with the margins and there is
no preview for this, neither an "Apply" button.
So you get a very bad default behaviour for TOCs which is surely not what 99% of
the users want in 99% of all cases...

I'll attach a sample document.
