OOo on Ubuntu Breezy.
Working with chemistry-related stuff: According to Tools > Configure > Keyboard
[ctrl shift b] should format the highlighted text to be sunk (i.e. as the 2 in
H2O). However it doesn't. I get an underlined capital B. Now, when I try to
click elsewhere, the same format B is pasted where I click. Backspace to remove
the B removes not just this letter, but the two in front as well.
[ctrl shift p] moves the highligthed text upwards (exponential value) OK.
And, lastly, the problem behaviour is not present from the Format-menu.
