Hi. I was using OpenOffice for a few months already and I am running into the
following problem.

In an attempt to preserve compatibility with other users, I set up OpenOffice to
save the files in Microsoft formats (.doc, .xls, .ppt, and so on). In many of my
documents, I am using fairly simple tables: two columns, the left column in
English (with left-to-right alignment) and the right column in Hebrew (with
right-to-left alignment).

After saving documents (as a .doc file), I found that upon next opening, the
columns were SWITCHED (Hebrew to the left and English to the right). The whole
content of the table, as well as the heading row was switched. The text
formatting was not affected, but the table is flipped.

It happened in many similar documents, and after it happens once with a
documents, the columns stay like this (i.e. it doesn't flip the column each time
the documents are opened).

I am running OpenOffice on a Compaq Presario 2100 laptop, Athlon 1800+, 768Mb
RAM, 30Gb HDD, under WinXp Home SP2. If any more info is needed, I'd be happy to
provide it.

Hope you'll find a quick and not too complicated (for you) resolution to this.
Thanks for all the work you invested in this project and hope to hear from the
OpenOffice team soon.

Sorin Rosen
