------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Apr 14 13:09:04 -0700 2006 ------- On selecting Print when merge fields present, Writer presents a warning box "Fields present. Do merge?" with a checkbox "Don't show warning again." If user elects not to see warning anymore, the following record selection box doesn't show. And user must edit Writer.cxu deep in the OOo registry file structure to restore. Otherwise stated from my web site: If you accidentally (or understandably or experimentally) check the Don't Show this Warning Again box when OpenOffice.org tells you before printing that there are fields in the document and do you want to do a merge, you are in trouble. Now OpenOffice.org won't show you the record selection box anymore. Here's the fix that worked for me. In my 2.0.2 for XP, here is what I had to edit: C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\OpenOffice?.org2\user\registry\data\org\openoffice\Office\Writer.xcu <node oor:name="printOutput"> <prop oor:name="AskForMerge?" oor:type="xs:boolean"> <value>false</value> </prop> </node> Change false to true. Close OpenOffice? including the Quickstarter. Make sure it is closed. If you aren't sure, restart the computer. Requested action: Unlink the record seletion form from the Fields present warning. See the forums under merge box or mail merge box. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
