It would be really comfortable to have the formatting controls remember the last
command.
Let's see a use case:
- I'm editing cells in Calc, and I want to give a pale yellow background to the
cells I am interested in
(e.g. a university exam, taxes, etc.)
- select the cell with the mouse
- choose a nice gradient of yellow (say "Yellow 2"
- found another cell to color
- oh, well,...I want to paint it like the former one, but must tell it again
wich color to use, and of course
I don't remember the gradient of yellow I've chosen. Was it "Yellow 2" or
"Yellow 3"? Naah, let's go back
to the previouse cell...uhm "Yellow 2"

and so on. :) This _is_ frustrating, especially when you do it for work (which
is the most important OOo target,
isn't it?)

I think that many users (especially the new ones) will like this behavior:
- it's natural: less stuff to remember when editing, more concentration on
contents instead of formatting
- it's something users expect coming from MS Office: after all, Excel is not so
bad in these use cases :)

I understand that this change could upset old OOo users, so please take the time
to evaluate this enhancement.
