------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Apr 22 16:28:54 -0700 2005 ------- Set the cursor blink rate to something fast, or turn it off completely, on the GNOME Desktop. Specifically do this with the Java Desktop System Release 3 via: Launch->Preferences->Desktop Preferencs->Keyboard->Behavior and then in the Keyboard Tabbed section uncheck "Cursor blinks in text boxes and fields" or simply move the slider to the far right edge. You may need to log out and back in (you don't on JDS 3 Linux, but I haven't tested on Solaris). Launch StarOffice. Open Writer - notice the caret blink rate is unaffected by the desktop setting. Click in the toolbar for font, size, etc. - again the caret blink rate isn't the desktop setting (in fact, it doesn't blink at all). Same problem (no blinking at all) in Calc. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
