I don't want to be rude but to me this kind of sounds like: yeah we know that the standard settings suck but we're not going to fix it. If I find time I will try to figure out a setting that does not interfere on most of the symbols I use and suggest that as the new standard setting. If the

Do the fonts for the math editor change depending on architecture and platform? Windows and linux (debian + scientific linux + redhat), pentium II, pentium III, pentium IV, pentium MMX AMD XP. Hell the PPC linux will probably have the same problem too just like Solaris. The standard setup is in
