Per the below question re: the "?" mark in the error message...that is a typographical error....it should have been the " / "...but I hit the shift key. The error message comes up in everything....when I try to open a "new" document of any sort, and when I try to open an already saved document. I will click on the below link...however, this has gone on thru an install, uninstall and re-install.

Your user settings url looks strange. Is there really a ? in
"...Owner?Application..." or is there another character that
cannot be copied into the issue description.

Please have a look if the script.xlb file in your user installation
exists at all. In general this is a file that is copied into every
user installation and all known problems concerning this have
only occurred in very complex upgrade scenarios.
