please let know whether true midi can be played on intel8x0. this is because Windows 98 detects a MPU401 interface on the card at irq-10 base=0x300.( can be changed from BIOS). I tried using insmod snd-mpu401-uart io=0x300 irq=10. but to no avail. the oss driver also does not respond to mpu401 modu
