i'm using a much older version of ALSA with the trident and viewing
madblast

I am a newbie in alsa programming.
I don't understand how the xrun state is working.
When i play a sample, it is stopped when i run
an other programm. Someone in this mailing list has said to
me, few days ago, it is because of xrun state.
So, i try to do it, but it doesn't works yet :

Did you try capture or just playback?
I loaded ardour and began record enabling channels until I got to channel
16 (Audio 17) then began to examine why there was a problem.
Due to some bizarre lockup problem, I am updating my kernel this morning,
I'll update CVS of alsa too.
