Did you try capture or just playback? I loaded ardour and began record enabling channels until I got to channel 16 (Audio 17) then began to examine why there was a problem. Due to some bizarre lockup problem, I am updating my kernel this morning, I'll update CVS of alsa too. _J In the new year
