Note that this is wat I got after a "normal" boot (no kernel option,
dma still active).
It would be just great not to be obliged to install a window$ on this
laptop... I've not used Microsoft's products f

I've been trying to debug the driver, but it's not really my thing... Maybe
there are some handy tricks to debug ALSA drivers? Or is it just:
1) change the source
2) compile the source
3) see if it works (by loading the module.. and playing some audio)
4) if it doesn't work restart with 1)

The MIDI interface I'm using is a Midisport 2x2 (same results with a 1x1).
It works fine with alsa cvs of 2002-08-20, has problems with alsa cvs of
2002-10-28.
This is a summary of what I have found so far.

Hi,
I've been trying to get ALSA running on my Compaq Armada 3500 for quite a
while now. The soundchip is a es1869, which is supposed to be supported by
the es18xx driver. It only works 1 out of 10 times though - and I figured out
when it works and when it doesn't... But that didn't help me muc

to it first. it works fine!

experimenting with ALSA to see if it is possible to stream the audio data to the
1394 bus...
so i just need to know how to get the data out
of the buffer...

Hi,
I downloaded the alsa-driver from CVS and when trying to insert the driver
it gives the following error :

Hi there,
I'm working on the ALSA port of a linux audio driver. This is for the harmony chipset,
which is found in some HP PA/RISC workstations.
This chipset is relatively old (datasheets mentions 93), however it supports 16bit
48Khz stereo playback & recording.
The driver already exists in th
The usb subsystem has been pretty unstable lately, so this oops
may not be the fault of snd-usb-audio.
