I doubt this will be fixed soon, because it doesn't seem that anyone who
has this card also has the knowledge+time+motivation to get it
working.. :(
Takashi, Clemens: would it be useful to ask M-Audio exactly how the
Audiophile deviates from the spec?

I hope that someone here can help with a problem we're having with the
newer versions of the alsa-lib. We are using the ladspa interface with
alsa to use a pitch-shifting plugin. It worked fine with earlier
versions of the alsa lib, but with the newer versions it produces no
sound outpu
This removes the joystick enable/address card controls and makes
them a module option instead.

In theory, you can define a pcm named "dsp0" in your .asoundrc and
start your OSS program with the aoss script from the OSS compatibility
package (see the ALSA homepage).
