Hey, I have the strangest problem with my via p4pb400 motherboard that uses the via8235 southbridge. I cannot get the sound to work properly under linux but it works just fine under windows xp :(. My "sound system" is attached via an optical link to the motherboard. I have tried Mandrake 9.2

Hi, The Hammerfall Light driver has a couple of small bugs in the way it identifies port status in /proc/asound where it lists the spdif port as an ADAT port. I'm not using spdif on this machine so I cannot check to see if it shows lock status correctly. Someone may want to look at this. Cheers
