Is it possible for the emu10k (SBLive!/Audigy) driver to get bass/treble
mixer controls in ALSA like it has in Windows and the OSS Linux (when you load
the right file with the emu10k tools) driver? Thanks.

Hello,
I am using a Turtle Beach cs46xx based card and have it configured
for ALSA and the new firmware image under Linux 2.5.44 to allow playing
multiple streams at once. When running under 2.5.44 trying to scan to
different parts of an mp3 file seems to take a lot longer than it should

Hello,
I wrote in quite a while back and have tried talking to the xmms
developers about this but they insist that their must be a bug in my
hardware or the driver I am using. My problem is that using alsa as the
built in kernel sound driver for my SBLive! instead of the oss style

Hello,
Now that alsa is merged in Linux 2.5.x is there any chance that
patches to add ALSA directly into a Linux 2.4.x kernel will be revived.
For quite some time now the patches in
ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/kernel-patches have been 2.5.x only. I
understand that 2.5.x is the development kernel
Hello,
I recently emailed in about finding a good sound card which was very
basic, had a good sound to it, had SMP support in it's drivers and had
multi-open on /dev/dsp as the SBLive! Does. I read somewhere that the
Muse XL is a fairly decent card and had good SMP drivers, and also

I am having trouble with kernel 2.4.17-rc2 and the latest ALSA
0.9.0beta10 drivers patches directly into the kernel and their
interaction with xmms. I can get sound and it is of vey nice quality
but when trying to adjust the volume in xmms using the arrows keys on my
keyboard the volume slide
n 21% or higher than 37%. It also gets stuck in other ranges such as
0%-8%, there might be a few others, what would cause this to happen?
This does not happen when using the alsaout plugin, but it has it's own
set of problems.

my card and that it worked with ALSA
0.9.0beta9 built directly into the kernel, anyone have a clue why it
doesn't work with beta10? I am attaching my .config file. Thanks.

n anyone offer some advice
to get sequencer support to work when build directly into the kernel
with the latest binutils? Thanks in advance. I am not on the list so

Is there a way to patch the ALSA drivers along with ALSA OSS emulation
into a static kernel so that no modules have to be loaded for sound to
work? I am currently running 2.5.1-pre1 but also run 2.4.17-pre2
sometimes and would like to do this for both kernels if possible. Thank
