Well, Xamix/2 appears to be dead. Nothing since 1999.
And I've unmuted EVERYTHING. Everything is unmuted. Still no recording.
I assume input gain = record gain?

I just d/l'ed and attempted install of alsa-lib-0.9.0beta8. The configure
and make went fine. When I installed, I got the following error:

does anybody know where i can get some documentation about the .asoundrc
file and how it is involved in the alsa-driver-process?
i just added

}
to .asoundrc cause i found in ecasounddocs that ecasound nee
is there any work done to support usb-audio devices with alsa ? i am
thinking of the apple speakers for example.
