I'm trying to install Alsa 0.9beta4 on Debian Woody. So far, I've successfully installed the .deb alsa-source packages, run alsaconf and update-modules to update /etc/modules.conf. If I lsmod, I see what appears to be all the right modules listed. If I cat /proc/interrupts, I don't have any

I'm still not getting any sound and I'm not sure why, but here is a clue: Here is my /proc/asound/sndstat file. It says the audio devices aren't enabled in config.How do I enable them? Any help would be greatly appreciated -- Sound Driver:3.8.1a-980706 (ALSA v0.5.11 emulation code)
