Hi, I have exactly the same problem, I was considering posting here. My config is 2.4.21pre4 (HIGHMEM) alsa 0.9.0rc7 , my system has 1GB memory. (the prb was the same with 2.4.21pre3 and 0.9.0rc6) I'm going to use esd so that /dev/dsp won't be opened every X minutes. :-) -- Laurent --

Well now that you mention it. Every time I reboot the mixer mutes and I have to unmute over again. Thats number 1. Next I can't seem to record from the line in I think I read somewhere that I have to enable this somewhere but couldn't figure it out. Also only one speaker out put seems to work. Th
