OK, per a suggestion, I placed "#include linux/highmem.h" after line 573 in acore/misc.c, which solved the compile problem. Unfortunately, when using alsa, my machine still locks up. And again, it doesn't lock up when I use OSS emulation...but OSS emulation quality is worse than no sound at al
