Yeah , run ./configure --help , and it'll tell you how to include
support for the "virmidi card". its as if its a real card
Hi,
I'm usning the latest alsa drivers (0.9.6), and
I'm trying to get understand this snd-virmidi stuff:
http://linux-sound.org/quick-toots/4-sequencers_and_softsynths/quick-toot-midisynth_howto.html
When I try:
modprobe snd-virmidi
I get:
modprobe: Can't locate module snd-virmidi
I have sear
For hours I've been searching and trying out - but I can't get my
soundcard working with the digital output.
I'm using xine / mplayer and have a digital speaker set. I was able to
use the digital ouput but not the AC3 passthrough - i.e. I heard audio
streams but they were allready decoded. what I
'make install' DID finish without errors? This looks like the modules
didn't get installed in /lib/modules/2.4.20-18.19. If you
ls -al /lib/modules/2.4.20-18.19/kernel/sound/pci you should find the file
snd-via82xx.o, otherwise they didn't install!
