if I use pmidi or kmid to play a midi file both seem to do something, but
there is no output. I use pmidi -p72:0 .
pmidi -l gives:

i'm running linux kernel 2.4.22 and try to install alsa 0.9.6
I was running 2.4.21 before and alsa compiled and worked without problems .
./configure --with-cards=via82xx --with-sequencer=yes
make
make install
are OK : no errors.
but:
modprobe snd-via82xx
modprobe: Can't locate module snd-vi

"small" Band in a Linux Box. Uses MIDI and the ALSA sequencer for play the
rhythm patterns. Styles, patterns , sounds, and the mixer settings, can be
edited and saved.
