how i can direct oss emulation to dmix plugin on my pnp-gus? dmix is
better mixer, than esd or art, i guess. someone has similar suggestions?

Ok - I made the modifications you mentioned - then it worked and I could run
alsamixer. Then I tried to play a wav-file but the system crashed - after a
reboot this is the latest error output :

You could try a SB Live! or a cheap envy24ht-s card( like the Chaintech

When I asked yesterday... I was told it isn't something you can do with
current code...
