0.9.0rc8) user and the owner of a VAIO laptop with a
VIA VT8233 (rev 50) sound chip. Apart from the crakles
of the sound if the sample rate isn't 48000 Hz, I have

Config: via82xx (vt8235), microphone plugged on mic in, playing is
working, using alsa 0.9.7 with 2.4.20 kernel.
Recording is perfectely working on W2K. Playing with alsamixer for 1
