Dear all,
I've downloaded the cs4237B driver (version 0.9.8) from ALSA and try to
install the driver in my ThinkPad 600 2645-45A with Redhat 9 following
the instructions. However, when I use the "modprobe snd-cs4236" command,
errors occurred:
/lib/modules/2.4.20-8/kernel/sound/isa/cs423x/snd-cs42
Hello Group;
This is my first entry on this list so here goes.
I have downloaded the latest version of alsa and have tried to compile it on a SuSE
9.0 box.
Result of ./configure apears correct in config.log but pcm_misc.c #2 fails on every
attempt to compile. It eve appears to be in a loop. a
Anyone using ALSA on AMD64? If you do, which soundcard?
Any issues on that platform?

I have an M-Audio Delta-66, which has S/PDIF stereo input and output
channels. I am very happy with this card. ALSA support is good, even

Hello all,
I'm currently looking for an alsa supported soundcard with working spdif
input (optical input preferred).
I'd like to record stuff from an external source and have a look at the
digital frames, ie. I'd like to do some kind of el-cheapo analysis.
I grepped through the code and found
Question: A friend of mine has a CMI8330 onboard soundcard, and with alsa it
is noisy and distorted ... I think it's something from the samplerates, but
I have no ideea how to fix that ... and example of settings or something
could help, because i never had any problems with alsa on my 2 soundca
