There is a error while compiling ALSA 0.9.6 on kernel
versions 2.6.0 and 2.6.1.
There is no problem in compiling ALSA 1.0.0rc2, yet it
does not work with my sound card, neither any version

I noticed that the "mic" input support is worse than in 0.9.8
I'm running a 2.4.24 kernel , i had to recompile and i upgraded at the same
time to alsa 1.x
I also usi audacity and when i was with 0.9.8 drivers , the input level was

hi
i have the external SB mp3+ connected with usb to my notebokk.
the optical output i use to connect to my sound system works great.
music is no problem in any way, but when i watch a movie with xine
there are a few problems.
1. when i pause the movie and want to restart it --> no sound at all.
