Hi,
I am having some problems getting Soundblaster cards
working under ALSA under Linux 2.6.5. I've tried the
ALSA code provided with 2.6.5, and also the latest
drivers from the ALSA website. No difference.
First off, there's the SB Live! - this detects OK
under lspci, and alsaconf recognises it
Hello,
I'm trying to set up my M-Audio Delta 66 using the alsa drivers (ice1712) to
enable it to play back from more than one sound source at the same time,
mainly for playback via XMMS whilst still hearing sound notifications on the
PSI jabber client.
I'm running Debian unstable, with kernel

drivers and will give me bit-perfect (no resampling) SPDIF output at 44.1khz.
I would appreciate either recommendations of such a card, or guidelines on how
to determine whether a given card will give me bit-perfect output

PCM, CD, Aux & co should modify volume on all channels, not only on
front left and right.
There should be a way to make CD play on all
channels (i think there's the same
Hello
I still cannot manage to get an AC3 stream from my intel8x0 (nforce2,
A7n8x deluxe board) chipset with kernel 2.6.5.
Here's what works:
- Raw PCM -> OK
- DTS stream -> OK but detected as a DTS stream from an audio CD, not
from a DVD.
- AC3 stream -> my amp is silent. I sometime get a sma

Hi!
Did you try to use a simple dshare or something and then use bindings.
It could look like that:
pcm.my_40 {
type dshare
slave "hw:0,0"
bindngs {
0 0
1 1
2 0
3 1
}
ipc_key 1738
}
I'm not sure about the bindings section. I don't know which channel to bind
