I recently installed alsa 1.0.11 on a 2.6.12 kernel.
everything is fine, sounds is perfect.
I can see the HDA modem using aplay -l.
aplay -l shows 3 devices:
1) device :0 analogue
2) device :1 digital
3) device :6 modem
How do I point to the modem then? I tried to use hw:0 to
hw:

It seems to work now.
I did not put the hw:0,6, but hw:6.
alsa 1.0.11 is awesome.

I have would like to record vinyls with my Creative Live 24 external, i
would like to use the line-in input for that purpose.
For playing the card is working well (2 stereo channels ), but nothing
comes from the line input and microphone as well to record
any help, any experience of succe
start alsamixer, with [tab] key select [capture] and tune it up :)
