I have a real strange problem. I don't get my sound working.
My system is a Acer Aspice 5102 WLMi with:
Debian Etch
2.6.18 Kernel
Alsa: 1.0.13
lspci | grep -i audio returns:

I have a Mac PowerBook G4 (RISC) running Ubuntu 6.06LTS. The sound card
(as near as I can determine) is a PowerMac Snapper.
What does DRC actually stand for?

Controller. The problem is, the headphones socket does not work .. it
does on windows tho, so it's not hardware related.

I use alsa-driver 1.0.13 with module snd-hda-intel.
alsmixer shows the soundcard as Conexant ID 5047
and only Master and PCM !

Recently, the audio on my system stopped working, that is, it is fine
with 2.6.16 (vanilla), but with 2.6.17 (ubuntu) or 2.6.18 (vanilla) the
audio hangs, repeatedly playing the same sample until it passes to the
next sample, which is then repeated many times, and so on.
