Hi All I try to use an RME AES-32 under Gentoo, Alsa 0.14-rc1, kernel 2.6.20-rc1 but with this message when Kack starts : ALSA lib pcm_hw.c:1357:(_snd_pcm_hw_open) Invalid value for card ALSA: Cannot open PCM device alsa_pcm for playback. Falling back to capture-only mode cannot load driver

Thank you, Takashi! I thought so, but I'm a bit insecure on all this. To build the 32 bits libs, I believe I have to use -m32 in the CCFLAGS. Would that be all? Regards, Herbert Citando Takashi Iwai [EMAIL PROTECTED]: At Fri, 09 Mar 2007 13:53:58 -0300, Herbert Georg wrote: Now unzip and

Hi all, On my currentl ARM platform, I've been using the /dev/dsp and /dev/mixer to control and play audio ( and these are the only devices available). I decided to switch to the libasound using ALSA but I don't know which device to use. The kernel driver clearly shows it is ALSA based
