On my dual-boot Windows XP/Open SuSe 10.2 system I use an M-Audio Midisport 4x4.
In YaST it is configured as soundcard number 2 with Driver snd-usb-audio, and
in Hardware Information all the details seem to be listed.
In JACK ALSA the Midisport's 4 input ports and 4 output ports are visible.

I have a weird problem, it seems that SOMETIME the rear speakers are
much louder the front speakers and center (5.1 setup).

(master only controls front/center on sb live!) but I truned on master

all 12 channels (nuts, but that's how ALSA is built). However, I
mocked around mixer settings a little bit and now I get just two
channels, propably from i
