He can only get 2 channels to play instead of 8, as PHASE 28 should
support. Also, he can't get MIDI to work.

How was it tested? On openSUSE 11.1, pulseaudio is used as the
default backend, and it supports two-channel output.

As the subject says i'm having no sound after upgrading to kernel 2.6.29 in
debian/sid 64bit.

ardour and a 8channel output and they are working! But it sounds not "clean".
