I'm an owner of a RME HDSP RPM external sound card having trouble to
make it run under linux.
My machine is running Ubuntu 11.04 (32bit) with a 2.6.38 kernel. Since
my card doesn't seem supported by the alsa driver shipped with Ubuntu, I
compiled alsa-driver and alsa-tools from the git
Actually, the ASIO4ALL driver is hardware independent, and it does not
provide mixer controls as well. So I guess we wont get them working.
The point is that windows drivers provide good input levels.
I get good output levels in linux, but barely unaudible input signals. That
is frustrating.
