Hi,
after installing the "Windows Vista" firmware upgrade for the Rode Podcaster,
the device works flawless on Linux.
The frequency-warning does show up every second or so.
- recording does work
- playback does work

I have an ASRock Vision 3D 252B with an Intel Corporation Cougar Point
High Definition Audio Controller (rev 05). Which according to
/proc/asound/card0/codec#0 is a Realtek ALC892.
