Hello,

Hardware: Asus A7N8X Deluxe MB: MCP-T/nForce2 chipset.

Distro: Mandrake Linux 9.0, stock kernel.

Alsa version: 0.9.0rc6, downloaded a few days back.

I am trying to build the Alsa drivers for this
motherboard using instructions from:
http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/doc-php/template.php3?company=Nvidia&card=nForce&chip=NM2360&module=intel8x0

I get to extracting it, "./configure", but fails on
make:

-----------------------------------------------
/lib/modules/2.4.19-16mdk/build/include/linux/config.h:4:28:
linux/autoconf.h: No such file or directory
In file included from

-----------------------------------------------

I could not find /usr/include/linux/autoconf.h even
after installed *all* mandrake packages that conatin
"autoconf.h". And yes, I did install autoconf.

Could there be a compatibility problem with gcc
version being 3.2 ? Alsa's website / README / INSTALL
do not specify any such limitation.

Any help / info in getting alsa to work will be really
appreciated.

Thanks
