Any tips on getting my Hoontech DS-XG (YMF-754) spdif working again, it
worked fine (although no ac3 passthru) with the std alsa 0.5.10. I am
running a shiny new SuSE 8 sys but yast2 does not give an "enable spdif
out" - how do I do it by hand?

Any news on the ability to use the YMFPCI card with an optical out to passthru an
AC3/DTS signal from the digital out (2 pin) from a DVD-ROM, will it be in version 0.9.x

Yes it works but not as a digital pass thru , it takes the digital
stream from the 2 pin out on my dvd-rom and outputs it via
the optical ok, but no surround sound - although, i do use Mplayer
instead of xine for playing dvd's and it does a VERY good job
