Recently, the audio on my system stopped working, that is, it is fine with 2.6.16 (vanilla), but with 2.6.17 (ubuntu) or 2.6.18 (vanilla) the audio hangs, repeatedly playing the same sample until it passes to the next sample, which is then repeated many times, and so on.
