does anyone recall any history of this old driver? DM2 Linux Driver it says its a linux alsa driver... but I'm not seeing it in the alsa list of supported devices.. ? seems like the project is abandoned.. and not longer compiles with current kernels. appreciate any advise. thanks |

I'm having success with EMU-1212m v1 card and ADAT Alesis AI3 using the mecurial drivers on my machine. I'm using Gentoo (2.6.22-gentoo-r2). I dont use the Gentoo ALSA drivers, but install them as modules, after rebuilding the kernel. I specify ALSA in make menuconfig, as well as the different stuf

Hi, I've got the 1212m configured and I'm testing ADAT support. I've tried the simple tests, like speaker-test -c2 -twav -Dfront and arecord -fdat test.wav I was able to record with this simple test: and hear audio out from the main speakers. When I launch qjackctl and look at "Connect"

I'm using linux-2.6.21-gentoo-r4 and ALSA v1.0.14cr2 looks like everything is loading... I dont hear any sound and I dont see any reference to the ADAT channels in ALSA mixer? I want to have the 8 ADAT channels coming into the 1212m and monitor out on two of the 1212m outputs. Physically, every

I have a general question on these transport methods. I understand ADAT LightPipe is a transmission protocol with up to eight channels of sound, so any device with on of these interfaces can be connected together and transmit the sound between the devices. With regards to Firewire and USB, many d
