I want to use dsnoop in my .asoundrc, but this plugin does not seem to be
available to me as shown by `arecord -L` . Does the availability depend on
the sound card or is it just a sort of module I have to load ?

Hi folks,
I have an application that uses the microphone and I'd like to share the
source with other applications, e.g.: arecord.
I've tried to modify my .asoundrc using dsnoop as indicated in [1]. The mic
keeps working for the application but arecord
outputs this error:
