more observations:
- recording doesn't crash the system now!

Hello alsa folks
I finally got some time to update my linux audio setup today for the
first time in a couple of months.
My main aim was to test the latest vxpocket driver and see if it works
with jackd/ ardour.
I installed alsa 0.91 from source, including installing vxloader in
/usr/local/b

open source DAW :)
I've got a couple of questions:
1. has anyone managed to get jackd (/ardour...) working with the vx? what arguments
did you use?
2. There appear to be some problems with

which pcmcia drivers did you use? pcmcia-cs? kernel tree pcmcia? - module or compiled
into the kernel?
which vxpocket card?
cheers

snd-vxp-lib26832 0 [snd-vxpocket]
snd-usb-audio 41456 0
snd-rawmidi16416
