I'm getting buffer underruns when running on an old program I recently
brought back from the ashes.
The program loads up a raw sound file fully into memory (2100 bytes
long, 525 frames) and prepares ALSA for output (44.1khz, 2 channels,
signed 16 bit):
if ((err = snd_pcm_set_params(audio_handle
o all channels in 'amixer' (which I believe are input and
output joined). I'm I missing something ? What's the best way to test
this ?
best,

Don't use 0.9.2...
Emerge it like this: ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge alsa-driver
If you need to emerge the other alsa packages, also use the ACCEPT_KEYWORDS
argument... Alsa come a long way since 0.9.2 ...:p
Hope this helps :)

/dev/snd/midiC0D1).
My questions are:
Should the light with the IR symbol in the external box be lit? Am I doing something
wrong?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Is there anybody that knows how to make surround 40 work? I have posted
messages in the users and developers lists, but it seems that nobody has
an answer to the problem. Help please!

Hi,
I have two soundcards in
t each "pcmCxDyz" represents a channel. That differs with
the classical definition of left and right channels. I believe that the
examples without a clear definition of "channel" can be confusing. Is
there anybody out there that can help to straight this out?
Thanks,

The surround volume is ok. I used the alsamixer and gmixer to set the

Any clues about what's happening?
