If you can report that the mixer identification by ALSA is correct then we

10. If you compile ALSA with the Linux kernel, then it is more difficult to
supply your configuration parameters, and I do not know a good
way to pass that information on. Look through

package-remove scripts from the distributor, and it can be hard to find them

I recently installed the Alsa drivers on Mandrake 8.1. using the guide provided by via

Everything works, but the last step in the guide is to run ./snddevices (which again
works) to map the devices on to the general 'handles' (
Audio devices: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG

Midi devices: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG
