Hello,

I have a problem with Midisport UNO too. It is not the
same product than Midisport 1x1 that Alsa supports, and
I have been unable to make it work.

I have tested the various possibilities:
http://www.informatik.uni-halle.de/~ladischc/midisport_linux_firmware.html
http://member.nifty.ne.jp/Breeze/softwares/unix/usbmidi-e.html (for this
one, the 3 leds of Midisport stay always on, and it does not work).

I found a few other similar reports:

although this one claims it works:
