I have sound working over HDMI on a board with a RealTek ALC888 and a Intel
chipset wich reports the codec to be Chrontel HDMI.
I have tried making the HDMI sound work on a Aliza sound chipset and ATI
card ( ATI X1200 with the MAY release of ATI and RealTek ).
When I try to make the sound work on
a forums.

I have no experience with you card but I do have some with HDMI. So far, it
seems that NVidia driver on linux do not correctly support HDMI audio.
Out of curiosity can you post the result of :
cat /proc/asound/cards
cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#* | grep Codec ( repeat this line for
card0, car
r-hg2008" archive and compiled those driver and followed the
steps in the README for the modprobe tweak. I would suggest trying that.
Hope it helps, i'll try to check the mailing list more often.

cable. Right now, I have only the display working but would like to have
the sound too.

alias sound-slot-0 snd_hda_intel
And I changed my modprobe so it looked like that :
alias sound-slot-0 snd_hda_intel
options snd_hda_intel index=0 model=auto
For some reasons, it looks like "au

cant get sound from tvtime using the analog audio cable. I would appreciate
to have some more information on how to decide if the is
