Hello,
I've recently discussed other topics (including RME) on this forum, related
to prosound and DSP; here I want to focus a specific question I have about
home hi-fi and theater.
I'm using Suse 10.2 with RT kernel and I am considering the RME products
(RME 9632 for instance).

Hello,
I'd appreciate any comments from Linux users (especially those with a system
like mine - Suse 10.2 with RT kernel) about the use of Numark's USB
turntable TT-USB.
I understand it packages some GNU software targeted to work on Windows XP.
I'd like to use in Linux.
Thanks alot,

Amazing, I can't believe SATA drives are giving me so many headaches!

Sergei,
Thank you -- you are correct. My major challenge for live audio / sound
does not have anything to do with WAV files -- but everything to do with
sound reinforcement and in my case mostly outdoor concert PA systems.
I am sorry I failed to clearly and simply explain that earlier.

Hi, I have Suse 10.1 with recent updates -- my YaST HW info shows I
have the ALSA 1.0.13 (stable) release, and I am having problems with
this sound card -- when playing back WAV files through ALSAplayer
(after starting Jack with "jackd -R -dalsa -r44100 -p1024" I get very
garbled (and loud) audio.
Have a HP Media Center PC (7170n) with HD audio controller (82801G
ICH7 family) wherein I can play a mp3 file I have converted to WAV
using mpg123 through amaroK, but when I setup Jack and try to play the
wav under alsaplay, the sound is very distorted. I've got Suse 10.1

Hello,
I have a thread I posted at diy-audio forums on this.
My quest is to find a sound card compatible with Linux/ALSA I can use
to create professional grade and home hi-fi equalization and crossover
function. my search has led me to the RME cards, as I have a general
requirement to implement
