When using xmms for the first time after rebooting
machine (via alsa-plugin or through OSS emulation)
playback hangs after few second and kernel issue a
message: "IRQ5 Disabled". After this stage, sound
hangs always when trying to play again with xmms.
Below is output of dmesg command.

permissions on the directory /dev/snd/
When I changed those permissions so that they looked like this:
