i have "jack" and "ALSA" installed on my SuSE 11 Linux 2.6 workstation together
with a Aureon 7.1 PCI sound card. I can play musik with "mpd" via "jack" but
cannot control the volume with means of "alsamixer" nor "amixer". I can see the
associated volume control slider for all channel
