Cannot work. Nothing you do to and ALSA config file has any effect on apps that use the in-kernel OSS emulation as they are bypassing alsa-lib completely. The only option if you want to use all the advanced featured of ALSA is not to use the in-kernel OSS emulation. It's a crutch for old broken apps.
