Ok, after reading Jim McCloskey's posts on the UA-1EX here is what I
tried (keep in mind I am still a Linux newbie somewhat):
UA-1EX with Advanced Driver Switch = OFF
System is Mandriva 2007.0 PWP, kernel 2.6.17-6mdv running on a Compaq
nx9010 laptop.
# modprobe snd-usb-audio
