I've been using a Delta 1010 for a few years and prior to that a delta 66, I've never had these issues. ALSA seems to allow playback of any file and it will control the cards output rate. I never really touch that setting at all regardless of the sample rate of the file.

connected to it.
OK, I managed to configure .asoundrc like that and aplay can play channel1
or channel2, and envy24control lets me steer each of them - but how the
pingu can I play both at the same time?

Just got my Delta 44. The modules seem to be loaded fine, and alsamixer is
able to set and tweak the settings on the card. Unfortunately, none of my
