2. The most obvious change has occurred in envy24control, the control utility for ice1712 cards: The naming of the controls is now more human readable (eg 'Line in L' instead of 'H/W in 3'), and there are some new controls in the hardware settings tab: S/PDIF Input, Line In Selector, S/PDIF On/Off etc. But all new S/PDIF related ones don't seem to change anything ...
3. The Terratec card has a front box with coaxial and digital ins/outs. Output works (I can record through it into a minidisc deck), front digital in still doesn't. 'S/PDIF in' is controlling the card's internal connector which I have connected to my digital CD out. As stated above, switching the S/PDIF controls (on/off, coaxial/optical) doesn't have any influence, I always get the CD signal on S/PDIF in.
Otherwise, the driver and the utilities are very stable for my card since 0.9something - great work!
